A networking party where you can meet new people, enjoy good food and wine while supporting local causes.

5,000 yen for reservations and payments completed before June 1

Beneficiaries:
Funds raised from cash donations, drinks, raffle and part of ticket costs will go to 3 organizations working locally:
Tokyo Shure (school refusing youth, film-making project),
Kalakasan Migrant women's empowerment center (support for DV victims & survivors)
Polaris Project Japan (trafficked persons, phone/hotline service).
Organized by People for Social Change in collaboration with Development Executives and Net Impact, with support from Fujimama's Restaurant.

PSC 3rd Anniversary Notes
- 10 forums
- 2 workshops series
- 5 collaborative events
- 3 film events
- 10+ networking lunches and happy hours.
So far our events have attracted - as speakers, participants and facilitaors -
- 300+ people
- from 50+ groups
- from 20+ countries
There are many who have supported us over the past 3 years but I wanted to highlight a few of the key people who have make things happen since Feb 2005.
I would like to thank the following people for their time and commitment:
Marcie, Pania, Dawn, Stacey, Asuka, Miyuki, Trevor, Ryo, Miki, Shinichi, Damion, Maya
Allison, April, Justine, Lucia, Lauren, John, Kim, Yasuda-san, Chris, Emilie, Yoko & Terri.
Each year we have had new people step up to take on responsibility for eachs - pr, content development, outreach to speakers etc. As we begin 2008 - we are in need of new coordinators and on Jan 26 we will hold a meeting for those people:

Postponing the Jan 11 lunch
maybe it is too close to the winter holiday for people -
we have to postpone the Jan 11 nonprofit NGO luncheon.
Thanks for your repsonses but almost everyone responded that they
were really busy with meetings, catching up etc.
Will select a new date after consulting with PSC members and post a new date soon!

Ueno NGO Matsuri
At this years NGO Matsuri , PSC did 2 viewings of Invisible Children and each viewing was followed by a discussion session.About 200 people came to whole day open house sponosred by the nonprofit NGOs housed in the Maruko Bldg aka the "NGO biru."
Viewers were deeply moved and many people seemed interested in spreading the word about the situation these children face.

Skills Build Forum 8 was held on Dec 2.
Participants and panelists really took to the new Take Action Session.
Skills Build Forum 7 was held on Sept 23.
We had a wonderful group of participants and panelists.

NGO Matsuri in Ueno a huge success !
September 10 - More than 300 people joined the Matsuri. PSC volunteers - Rebecca, Dawn, Pania and Sarajean - gave distributed more than 150 forum 7 fliers, while also introducing PSC, Forums and new projects.

Pania and Dawn also ran two workshops which were a big hit with young and old!

The July 7 Tanabata BBQ introduced the new Japan Director of The Asia Foundation, Arseny (aka Chuk) Besher, to the nonprofit, NGO and CSR communities.
