Our networking party will give you opps to meet new people, and enjoy good food while supporting serious causes.

Funds raised from cash donations, raffle and a portion of the ticket cost will go to the following nonprofit NGOs:
JVC – Japan International Volunteer Center * Nutrition program targeting Palestinian children
SHARE * Community health center in Cambodia

Next SKYLINES Event - Feb 2009

SKYLINES
Meet, greet, eat, drink, be involved
プロフェショナル・ネットワーキング・パーティ

Following the success of SKYLINES 2008, People for Social Change (PSC) is pleased to announce the next SKYLINES party:

SKYLINES 2009- a professional networking party bringing together people from many walks of life to support, promote and raise funds for 2 nonprofit organizations addressing the issues of children’s and women’s health.

DATE/TIME: Saturday, February 21st, 2009, 3:30-7:00pm

LOCATION: TBA December 10st, 2008

We are also seeking sponsors and donations to be used as auction and raffle prizes. Items we need include: gift certificates for dinners, hotel stays and trips, tickets for concerts, plays or other special events, DVDs, CDs, gift sets, airline tickets, wine, liquor, memberships or subscriptions, electronics, books and so on.

Cash donations will be equally divided among the nonprofit organizations PSC supports. Donations in goods and services will also be used at the party to raise funds for these nonprofits.

STAND UP Take action pix

On Sat Oct 18 - as part of a weekend of world wide action we also stood up to show our support for the global movement to eradicate poverty.

This was part of a series of events taking part over Oct 17-19, all over the world.

In 2007, 40,000 people in Japan and more than 4 million people all over the world took part.

Take part in a global campaign called 'Stand Up Take Action' which will be held on the weekend of Oct. 17-19. It's a global mobilization to end poverty and inequality and for the MDGs.

A networking party where you can meet new people, enjoy good food and wine while supporting local causes.

5,000 yen for reservations and payments completed before June 1
7000 yen for reservations and payments completed June 1-10 (limited to 200 people)

Beneficiaries:
Funds raised from cash donations, drinks, raffle and part of ticket costs will go to 3 organizations working locally:
Tokyo Shure (school refusing youth, film-making project),
Kalakasan Migrant women's empowerment center (support for DV victims & survivors)
Polaris Project Japan (trafficked persons, phone/hotline service).

Organized by People for Social Change in collaboration with Development Executives and Net Impact, with support from Fujimama's Restaurant.
